Austrian Wine
Most of the Austrian wine industry happens in the eastern part of the country. The main focus is on white wines such as Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. As for red wines, Austrian wine producers are highly committed to their national treasure: Zweigelt. International grape varieties can be grown here successfully so look for Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Since all Austrian wines undergo a very rigorous quality control picking a good one is just a matter of taste.
