Bodega Argento

Founded more than half a century ago, Bodega Argento is one of the most renowned vineyards in Argentina because of its fresh, elegant wines from the Mendoza wine region. Located at the foothills of the Andes, its entire 284 hectares of vineyards are certified as 100% organic thus creating great quality Malbec, Torrontés, Syrah and Cabernet Franc wines. The vines of Bodega Argento are benefiting from the natural irrigation coming from the melted snow in the mountains.

Mendoza is by far the most important wine region in Argentina and is annually responsible for roughly 70% of the Argentinian wine production. While Malbec is the most popular variety, there are other grape varieties used to make great argentinian wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo and Syrah. However, argentinian winemakers that produce Mendoza white wines as well. Look for Sauvignon Blanc, Torrontes or Chardonnay because you'll most certainlly enjoy every sip.

Torrontes

Torrontes Wines

Torrontes is a white wine grape variety from Argentina. The white wines it produces are from light, crisp and fresh to highly aromatic with peppery notes and floral characteristics. Torrontes grows in Argentina’s famous high-altitude vineyards in the Cafayate region of Salta. Besides Argentina, this grape variety is also grown in Chile, Uruguay and Galicia in Spain but it’s still uncertain if the Spanish Torrontes has any relation to the one from South America.
