Canaiolo Wines

Canaiolo (Nero) is a black-skinned wine variety famous for its contribution in Chianti blends. As a matter of effect it is mostly used as a blending grape in Sangiovese-based wines. Generally speaking, Canaiolo makes soft wines with elegant flavours , gentle tannins and lifts the herbaceous flavours in Chianti wines. Besides Tuscany this grape variety is cultivated Lazio, Marche and Sardinia but in much smaller quantities.
