Bottle (75 cl - Standard)
Cantine Risveglio was founded in 1958 and throughout its history of more than six decades has survived very critical times. Nowadays, Cantine Risveglio is a model of success for most wineries in the vicinity of Brindisi but you’ll find their secret only by uncorking each and every wine they produce. Convinced that the only asset that matters is quality the winemakers from Cantine Risveglio focused their efforts in making gastronomic wines for the cuisine of southern Italy.
Puglia Wines
Puglia is a wine region in the far south-eastern corner of the 'boot' of Italy. The Salento Peninsula occupies the southern half of the region and is of great significance to Puglia's identity because the 'true' Puglia wines are to be found here, in the south. While Sangiovese and Montepulciano dominate the northern part of the region, authentic red Puglian wines from the south are made with Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes. Also, Susumaniello is making a comeback so look for this varietal!
Nero di Troia (Uva di Troia) Wines
Nero di Troia also known as Uva di Troia is an ancient purple-skinned grape from Puglia in Southern Italy. The grape was named after the Puglian town of Troia which according to legend was founded by Diomedes, the favorite warrior of Athena. Neri di Troia wines have a deep dark colour, and their typical flavours include aspberry, cherry, dark forest fruits and plums followed by licorice and spice. When found in red blends its main grape partners are Bombino Nero, Montepulciano and Sangiovese.
