Colombard Wines

Colombard is one of the most famous grapes in the world to be used in blends and it mostly appears alongside Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche in the production of Cognac and Armagnac. In France Colombard is the most planted variety especially in the western coast. Recently this grape variety has been used to make fresh white wines and therefore in southern France there are good examples of crisp white or rosé wines blended alongside other varieties.
