Francesa or Touriga Francesa is a dark-skinned red wine grape variety from Douro Portugal. It is one of the key ingredients for both Port wines and Portuguese dry red wines alongside Touriga Nacional. The grape’s origins are a bit unclear but it is believed to descend from Touriga Nacional.
