German Wine

Famous for its Riesling wines, Germany has also some of the finest winemakers in the world. With the majority of Germany's wine regions clustered along the steep banks of the Rhine and its tributaries the main focus is on white wines. Key grape varieties, besides Riesling, are: Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc and Kerner. However, in the last couple of decades the German wine industry has successfuly and repeatedly produced high-quality wines from these grape varieties: Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. See selection!
