Gouveio Wines

Gouveio is a white wine grape variety originating from Portugal that mainly grows in Douro Valley and Alentejo. The variety is mostly used as an ingredient for white Ports but it also produces dry white wines. Gouveio wines are fresh and lively with great acidity and medium to full body. The wines reveal fresh aromas of lime followed by hints of stone fruits and anise. The variety loves warm and dry climate which makes it perfect for continental sites of Portugal.
