Journey’s End is a family owned winery and vineyard from Stellenbosch wine region in South Africa. The winery focuses more on producing good quality wines rather than quantity since we are talking about a handful of premium, hand-crafted wines. Their philosophy is one of minimum intervention and to create wines that truly reflect the terroir it came from. Nowadays their top Premium red wines include: “The Cape Doctor”, “Destination” and “The Griffin”Syrah.

Stellenbosch Wines

Stellenbosch is the most famous wine region in South Africa and is home to the country’s most famous wine estates. Stellenbosch is also notable for being the birthplace of Pinotage (a crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut). South African wines from Stellenbosch are mostly known for their Cabernet Sauvignon which is often mixed with Merlot to recreate Bordeaux Blend wines. Merlot Wines

Merlot is an iconic red grape variety from Bordeaux, France. It is predominantly present in red wines from the iconic wine regions of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, both from Bordeaux. Besides being a great calming companion for Cabernet Sauvignon in the renowned Bordeaux blends, Merlot stands besides other French wine varieties such as Tannat (in Cotes de Gascogne), Malbec (in Cahors) and sometimes Petit Verdot. In Tuscany, Merlot sometimes stands beside Sangiovese.
