Muscat Wines

Muscat (Moscato in Italian) is one of the oldest family varieties in the world and originated in the Middle East. Best quality Muscat wines come from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Rutherglen, in Australia. Undoubtedly Italy produces more Moscato wines than any other wine country in the world and is mostly in the form of Moscato d’Asti which is made from Moscato Bianco. Other family members to be mentioned are Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat Ottonel Moscato Giallo and Moscato Rosa.
