Bordeaux Wines

It's hard not to associate Bordeaux with fine wine. For centuries Bordeaux has built its fame and prestige as a wine region of excellence. Merlot Wines

Merlot is an iconic red grape variety from Bordeaux, France. It is predominantly present in red wines from the iconic wine regions of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, both from Bordeaux. Besides being a great calming companion for Cabernet Sauvignon in the renowned Bordeaux blends, Merlot stands besides other French wine varieties such as Tannat (in Cotes de Gascogne), Malbec (in Cahors) and sometimes Petit Verdot. In Tuscany, Merlot sometimes stands beside Sangiovese.
