Pinot Meunier Wines

Pinot Meunier is a dark-skinned grape variety from France and one of the main key grapes in the champagne blend. Its main purpose in sparkling champagne is to tie together the flavours of the other used varieties. However, since Pinot Meunier do not age very well, we will not see high quantities of this grape in vintage champagnes. Besides France, Pinot Meunier variety is widely used in still and sparkling wines from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
