Riesling is a white wine grape variety from Germany, famous for producing some of the best white wines in the world. The best Riesling wines are usually crisp, refreshing with citrus-scented acidity and hints of toast and honeysuckle. It is sometimes made in a sweeter or botrytized style. Germany’s best Riesling will be found in Mosel, Rheinhessen, Rheingau and Pfalz wine regions while outside the country Riesling produces quality wines in Alsace in France, Australia, New Zealand and USA.
