Touriga Nacional Wines

Touriga Nacional is a dark-skinned grape variety from Portugal which is mostly planted in Dao and Douro wine regions. Touriga Nacional is the key ingredient for fortified wines but is also used to make good quality dry red and rosé wines. In fortified wines Touriga Nacional is blended with 80 other grape varieties such as Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cao. Apart from Portugal, this renowned grape variety also appears in some Australian and Californian wines.
