Oregon Wines
Oregon is one of the most promising wine regions in the USA. It is mostly regarded as a world-class wine region particularly for its Pinot Noir wines. Oregon Pinot Noir wines have deep red cherry color and reveal black cherry and stewed strawberry notes and an earthy scent. Willamette Valley is one of Oregon’s best known AVAs. Its Pinot Noir red wines are regarded as an equivalent to Burgundy’s finest reds. The next most planted varieties in Oregon are Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Syrah. See the selection!
Pinot Noir Wines
Pinot Noir is a famous red wine grape variety from Burgundy and one of the key ingredients for the renowned Champagne. Besides France, its homeland, California, Oregon and New Zealand have some of the best Pinot Noir wines. The signature flavours of Pinot Noir are the red berries and cherry notes or even stewed black cherry notes followed by fresh forest floor. In warmer climates, the wines might catch hints of leather and violets.
