Corvinone Wines

Corvinone is a red grape variety from the Veneto wine region in Italy. It is mostly famous for its role in creating Valpolicella wine alongside Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Best Corvinone grapes, as in the case of Corvina, are thick skinned and therefore suitable for drying to make Amarone and Recioto wines. According to DOCG new regulations Corvina and/or Corvinone should cover 45%-95% of the Valpolicella blend.
