There’s a reason why so many people associate “New World” wines with Australia. For the last 40 years Australian wines gained in popularity by following this recipe: fruity, bold and spicy. Who doesn’t like that in a wine? Australian wine producers understood what most wine consumers expect from a wine so they went the extra mile to make it the Aussie way. However, Australian wines, especially those from Barossa Valley proved repeatedly to be quite complex, showing great aging potential.
