Acquesi was created by Cuvage - a winery located in Acqui Terme renowned for its Traditional Method sparkling wines-. Acquesi was founded as a tribute to the Art Nouveau style city, Acqui Terme. The winery produces good quality sparkling wines by using the Martinotti Method known also as the Italian Method where the second fermentation takes place in autoclaves allowing the wines to keep their natural bubbles. Acquesi sparkling wines are made with local grape varieties and are very fruit-forward.

Piemonte Wines

Piemonte, located in northwest Italy, is one of the most renowned wine regions in the world. The best Piemonte wines are to be found in Barolo, Barbaresco, and Barbera d'Asti and the main variety for these authentic Italian wines is Nebbiolo. Nebbiolo wines are best known for their "tar and roses'' bouquet. Because of their strong tannins, the wines have excellent cellaring potential. Piedmont wines are also proudly represented by great regarded white wine styles: Moscato d'Asti and Asti Spumante.

Moscato Bianco Wines

Muscato Bianco or Muscat Blanc is the oldest member from the Muscat family which makes it one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. This variety is to be found both in Europe and the New world and it produces several wine styles and sugar levels. Sparkling Muscat wines are good examples for sweeter styles. The variety is mostly planted in Italy and the most famous sparkling and semi-sparkling Moscato wines are made in the Italian wine region of Asti.
