Colle Corviano is a prestigious Italian winery from the famous Abruzzo wine region. Located in the east Adriatic coast near Lazio, the winery is strongly inspired by the potential of the region and the common aspirations of the owners: Antonella Ditonno and Rodrigo Redmond. Colle Corviano promotes sustainable winemaking methods and their key grape variety is Montepulciano followed by Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio, Pecorino and Chardonnay.
Abruzzo Wines
Abruzzo is a world famous Italian wine region mostly known for its excellent classic Italian red wines made from the native Montepulciano grape.
Located on the east Adriatic coast near Lazio, Abruzzo is home to the world famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wines. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC was founded in 1968 and spreads across eastern Abruzzo. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wines are well rounded with great fruity flavours. They must be aged for 3 years- six months of which in oak barrels- before release.
Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio) Wines
Pinot Gris is a white wine grape variety originating from Burgundy and found in wine regions around the world. Actually it is a pink skinned grape mutation of the famous Pinot Noir. Pinot Gris mostly appears in blends and its flavours are usually very fruit-forward with hints of sweet spices, smoke and wet wool. Also Pinot Gris wines are usually low in acidity and high in sugar. The most famous regions where we can find good quality Pinot Gris are: Pfalz in Germany and Alsace in France.
