Conte Vistarino is a family owned winery from Rocca de Giorgi in the Lombardy wine region-Italy. It was in fact Carlo Giorgi di Vistarino who introduced the Pinot Nero grape variety in Otropo Pavese at the beginning of the 20th century. Today the vineyards are in the hands of Ottavia Giorgi di Vistarino and the winery’s key objective is to create authentic good quality wines that express the rich Lombardian wine region.

Lombardia Wines

Located in the north, Lombardia is one of Italy’s most dynamic wine regions. It offers a wide range of Italian wines and is home to 5 DOCG and 20 DOC appellations. Franciacorta is one of Lombardia’s best known Italian sparkling wines. It is in fact Italy's answer to Champagne and the most important producer of méthode champenoise sparkling wines in Italy. 

Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio) Wines

Pinot Gris is a white wine grape variety originating from Burgundy and found in wine regions around the world. Actually it is a pink skinned grape mutation of the famous Pinot Noir. Pinot Gris mostly appears in blends and its flavours are usually very fruit-forward with hints of sweet spices, smoke and wet wool. Also Pinot Gris wines are usually low in acidity and high in sugar. The most famous regions where we can find good quality Pinot Gris are: Pfalz in Germany and Alsace in France.
