Languedoc-Roussillon Wines
Languedoc-Roussillon, the biggest wine producing region in the world, is located in southern France along the Mediterranean coast from Provence to the Spanish border. Languedoc-Roussillon wines are mostly blends and although lumped together it really shows that in the Languedoc subregion wines are French in character with their fruit-forward and complex notes. By contrast, Roussillon reveals its Catalan culture by producing jammy, savoury red blends as well as some fortified wines.
