Maldonado Wines

Maldonado is a wine region located in southeast Uruguay. Winemakers from this region produce both white and red wines. Uruguayan red wines from Maldonado are dominated by the very popular Tannat grapes followed by other key grape varieties such as Merlot, Malbec and the Cabernets. As for the white wines, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon and Riesling are the main grape varieties. Bodega Garzon is one of the most famous vineyards in Maldonado and in the country as a matter of fact. See their wines here.
