Marques de la Concordia is a winery from the famous Rioja wine region in Spain built where once an old sugar factory used to be. The region allows Marques de la Concordia to cultivate a great range of variety but the most popular and loved variety is still Tempranillo. The oldest vines were planted in 1929 and wine maturation takes place in French oak barrels.

Ribera del Duero is an important wine region in northern Spain. Ribera del Duero wines are sensual, dark-coloured, brooding and exciting. According to DO regulations, Tempranillo must make up a minimum of 75 percent of all vinos tintos (red wines). In Portugal, Tempranillo is generally used in Douro Valley to produce Port wines and table wines. Here it goes under the name of Tinta Roriz. Tempranillo is a good match for American oak.
