Marques de la Concordia is a winery from the famous Rioja wine region in Spain built where once an old sugar factory used to be. The region allows Marques de la Concordia to cultivate a great range of variety but the most popular and loved variety is still Tempranillo. The oldest vines were planted in 1929 and wine maturation takes place in French oak barrels.
Ribera del Duero Wines
Ribera del Duero is an important wine region in northern Spain. Ribera del Duero wines are sensual, dark-coloured, brooding and exciting. According to DO regulations, Tempranillo must make up a minimum of 75 percent of all vinos tintos (red wines). Other dark grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec are allowed and Garnacha is used for most rosé wines. With such a focus on red wines, the results can only be great. Time to enjoy some of the best Ribera del Duero wines!
Tempranillo Wines
Tempranillo is a red wine grape variety famous for some of the best wines in Spain and Portugal. Best Tempranillo red wines are found in the famous Spanish Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine regions. In Portugal, Tempranillo is generally used in Douro Valley to produce Port wines and table wines. Here it goes under the name of Tinta Roriz. Tempranillo is a good match for American oak. Its flavour profile perfectly integrates the vanilla and coconut notes from the American barrels.
