Paxton is a family owned winery from McLaren Vale, Australia founded in 1979 by David Paxton- one of the best oenologists in Australia. Paxton is renowned for its Australian Shiraz wines full of complexity and delicious flavours. In 2011 the winery was officially certified as organic and biodynamic to prove once again the distinct quality of the wines.

McLaren Vale Wines

McLaren Vale is an Australian wine region known for successfully producing a large range of wines. It is also regarded very highly throughout Australia and the world for its red wines. Shiraz (Syrah) Wines

Syrah is a dark-skinned grape variety originating from Rhône Valley, France. In Australia the variety gained a distinct personality and is known as Shiraz. Syrah wines are famous around the world for their peppery earthy notes alongside hints of blackcurrant, licorice, tanned leather and smoky scents. The best authentic Syrah red wines are to be found in the northern part of the Rhône Valley followed by some excellent examples from California, Oregon in the US and Australia.
