Perinet

Perinet is a famous estate vineyard within the ancient Priorat DOQ, located in Catalonia, Spain. Perinet implies three very unique microclimates that allow winemakers to create some of the best Spanish wines. Perinet wines are fruit-forward in Mas Vell, vibrant and fresh in Mas del Xes and spice-laden, cooled by Mediterranean breezes in Pendents. Their traditional plantings of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah are enhanced with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Catalonia Wines

Catalonia is a very important wine region in Spain. Compared to other wine regions in Spain, Catalonia is very different because there is a strong French influence. Thus, Spanish wines from Catalonia are highly regarded because of the Champagne-style sparkling wine Cava and its red table wines. While the red wines are mainly made from Tempranillo, Garnacha and Monastrell grapes, for cava the catalan winemakers use exclusively Macabeo, Parellada, Xarel-lo and Chardonnay varieties.

Cariñena/Carignan Wines

Cariñena (or Carignan) is a black skinned grape variety originating from Aragon and mostly found within the wine regions of northern Spain and Languedoc-Roussillon, France. Generally speaking, Cariñena plays its best role in Rioja red wines next to Garnacha (Grenache) and Tempranillo revealing rich aromas and flavours of black fruits, pepper, licorice, peppery accents. In the meantime, French Mazuelo (Carignan) is located in Languedoc- Roussillon and produces table wines.
