The winery promotes both traditional and modern winemaking techniques and they use grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvedre, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
California Wines
California is the largest and most important wine region in the USA. The main varieties used to make Californian wines are Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay together with a wide range of traditional more European varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel. As for Californian white wines varieties, Sauvignon Blanc comes second right after Chardonnay. Also, California as a wine region hosts some of the most famous vineyards in the world: Napa Valley, Sonoma, Paso Robles and Lodi.
Cabernet Sauvignon Wines
Indigenous to Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most famous black skinned grape variety in the world. In fact it is the product of a natural genetic crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Besides its fame in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon wines are highly regarded in the New World wine regions especially in California, Chile and South Australia. Undoubtedly the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines are found in Bordeaux and California, a viewpoint supported by the 1976 Judgment of Paris.
