He puts the 29 hectares of land owned by the vineyard in good use by cultivating both national and international grape varieties.
Wagram Wines
Wagram is a wine region from Austria famous for its iconic Grüner Veltliner white wine. There are of course other grape varieties that produce great Austrian white wines in Wagram such as Roter Veltliner, while Zweigelt and Pinot Noir are the major varieties used in red Wagram wines. The region is also known for some quality ice wines and it is one of Austria's 16 official wine regions, and one of eight located in the state of Niederösterreich.
Zweigelt Wines
Zweigelt is the most cultivated red wine grape variety in Austria and its finest red wines come from the Neusiedlersee wine region. Zweigelt Austrian wines have a rich red colour and showcase complex fruit-forward flavours such as spiced cherry and raspberry. Also, Zweigelt is often used in red blends alongside Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon to recreate Bordeaux-like blends. Apart from Austria, this grape variety is spread in Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Slovakia.
