Château Changyu Moser XV is a Chinese winery located in Ningxia in Central Western China. The vineyards are irrigated by the Yellow River and lie at the proximity of the Gobi desert. In fact even though Chinese wine has a 4600 years old ancestry, in modern China, Chagyu is the first winery to produce wine on a bigger scale. The Austrian winemaker Lenz Moser joined the project in 2013 and since then the Chateau became internationally famous especially because of its Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Ningxia Wines

Ningxia is an important wine region in China, located in the central-north of the country. The valley is heavily irrigated by the Yellow River and has proven to be one of the most promising Chinese wine producing regions. Ningxia produces wines made from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Gernischt (identical to Carmenere), Chardonnay and Riesling. With high-quality wines produced in Ningxia international attention was drawn and investors came pouring. Among them, Pernod Ricard and Moet Hennessy.

Cabernet Sauvignon Wines

Indigenous to Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon is the most famous black skinned grape variety in the world. In fact it is the product of a natural genetic crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Besides its fame in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon wines are highly regarded in the New World wine regions especially in California, Chile and South Australia. Undoubtedly the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines are found in Bordeaux and California, a viewpoint supported by the 1976 Judgment of Paris.
