Emilia Romagna wines are mostly renowned because of Lambrusco wines (Italian sparkling/frizzante red wines). Pinot Blanc is a white wine grape variety that some say to be originated from Burgundy. This grape variety is one of the lesser known varieties to be permitted in Champagne blend along with Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
