Post House is a renowned winery from Stellenbosch, South Africa. Nick Tracy Riana alongside his team of winemakers have been creating great quality wines since 1996 using grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Post House red wines are usually very dark coloured. They use traditional winemaking methods that include natural yeast fermentation, basket pressing and no fining or filtering.

Stellenbosch Wines

Stellenbosch is the most famous wine region in South Africa and is home to the country’s most famous wine estates. Stellenbosch is also notable for being the birthplace of Pinotage (a crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut). South African wines from Stellenbosch are mostly known for their Cabernet Sauvignon which is often mixed with Merlot to recreate Bordeaux Blend wines. Petit Verdot Wines

Petit Verdot is a red wine grape variety mostly found in classic Bordeaux red wines and other regions such as Southern Europe, USA, South America and Australia. Because of its thick skin, Petit Verdot wines have the tendency to be darkly and densely coloured. It will most commonly be found in red wines alongside varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Monastrell or Malbec.
