Walter S Siegel is a prestigious winery from Pfalz wine region in Germany. It was founded in 1897 by the eponymous Walter S. Siegel to create his very own Riesling wines. Situated north-west from Frankfurt, the winery produces both red and white wines but the most popular are indeed the Riesling whites.

Pfalz Wines

Pfalz is a key wine region in Germany nestled between Rheinhessen and Alsace. The main grape varieties used in Pfalz are Riesling and Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder). There are many similarities in terms of winemaking between German wines from Pfalz and the wines from its southern neighbor Alsace not just because of the similar climates but because of the grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc.
