Alicante Bouschet
Alicante Bouschet is a teinturier grape variety. This means that besides pigmented skin it also has a highly pigmented flesh that allows the grape to make intensely rich coloured red wines. Alicante Bouschet is a crossing between Petit Bouschet and Grenache and it is widely planted in Spain, Portugal and France - in the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region. In red wine blends, Alicante Bouschet provides the wine with a soft texture and a rich color.
